WYSA was started in the late 80's during the high school off-season (spring).  They formed 2 "Select" teams of players to play games and continue training and developing their skills.  Since then WYSA forms an average of 50 "Recreational" and "Select" teams to play soccer at our complex each season or 1000 kids a year.

WYSA is a non-profit organization that relies on volunteers to help with the massive amount of work it takes to hold soccer games each weekend.  The key volunteers are the Board Members as well all the coaches for the recreational teams.  These faces are probably ones you recognize and will certainly see working or cheering on their kids at our complex each weekend.

Per our state (Kentucky Youth Soccer) and national (US Youth Soccer) associations, we are required to hire a Registrar to process each player's registration officially.  Our Registrar also serves as a League Administrator and handles more of our administrative duties that require more time than our volunteer staff can handle.  The League Administrator is a part-time position, but they do hold 'office hours' to help facilitate the paperwork process with parents.
