 12/28/09   Spring Registration Now Open!
Registration for the Spring 2010 Recreation season is now open. Go to the "Registration" tab on the left of the website. Just click on the "LeagueOne" graphic to access the online registration portal. If you have any questions please contact the office.
 07/10/09   WYSA joins with other area associations to form U9 Academy
Woodford YSA has joined with Anderson Independent, Frankfort YMCA, and Georgetown-Scott County YSA to form the Kentucky Alliance Soccer Academy for U9 players. For additional information please click on the "Academy Information" tab on the left side of the web page.
 06/11/09   WYSA Board Announces Election Results
The WYSA Board of Directors is please to announce the election results for the 2009/10 Fiscal Year. John Peck will serve as the new Vice-President for a two year term. Mike Flynn was re-elected to Treasurer. Donna Ethington, Dale Evans, and Steve McCoy were elected to two year At-Large positions. Congratulations!
 06/01/09   WYSA to Host Coaching Education Course
WYSA is please to announce they will be hosting the "E" Coaching Education Course on Saturday August 15 and Sunday August 16 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM both days. The course is an eighteen-hour (approximately) course, normally scheduled for a whole weekend. The courses consist of theoretical and practical instruction on the teaching of techniques and tactics of small-sided games between 1v1 and 6v6. The emphasis will be to build on the player’s technical development by applying tactical concepts with game situations. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older to attend course. Candidates who attend the course receive, an official USSF Coaching Manual, Kentucky Youth Soccer Association Lesson Plans, a Kentucky Youth Soccer Association Coaching T-Shirt and a certificate upon completion of the course To register for the course go to: https://ssl.hammerhead.net/KYecoaching/registration600.asp?courseid=199 .
